Ages
Vox Eternum is told in ages. Each is a chapter of what the game is about — what you are doing, and why — rather than a mechanic you operate. The mechanics within them are the systems.
An age has two names. One is material and one is not, and they are the same age seen from two sides rather than two ages in a row.
